What are the benefits of sound healing?

Sound healing utilises various sound frequencies and vibrations to promote relaxation, reduce stress, and enhance overall well-being. Scientifically, studies indicate that sound healing can influence brainwave activity, encouraging states such as alpha and theta waves associated with calmness, creativity, and deep meditation. Exposure to specific sound frequencies has been shown to reduce cortisol levels, the hormone responsible for stress, while increasing the production of endorphins and serotonin, which contribute to feelings of happiness and pain relief.

Sound vibrations can stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, which aids in lowering heart rate and blood pressure, thereby facilitating relaxation and recovery. Some research also suggests that sound therapy may improve sleep quality and reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression by altering neural oscillations and promoting neuroplasticity.

From a holistic perspective, sound healing therapy is believed to harmonise the body’s metaphysical energy field, helping to balance emotional, mental, and physical health. It encourages mindfulness and presence, bridging deeper connections between mind and body.

Sound healing combines measurable physiological effects with holistic benefits, supporting mental clarity, emotional balance, and physical relaxation. It may also align you with your higher self between the subconscious and conscious bringing them into harmony.
